So Slavery is Fashionable?

Did you know, that Hugo Boss is the guy that designed Hitler’s SS Nazi uniforms? Yup, he is noted as the supplier of the uniforms the Nazi’s wore, to the “Sturmabteilung, Schutzstaffel, Hitler Youth, National Socialist Motor Corps and other party organizations” - something he later apologised for.

Fashion tied to slavery in any kind of way is a no go, which is why people got uber-sensitive when planking became the “in” thing to upload (if that makes no sense, try reading this). – Today though, I came across another attempt at creativity at the hand of the usually much loved Jeremy Scott.

As you know, I adore the Adidas brand and I think Scott’s additions have sometimes been beautiful…and other times, not so much. These, however – are just ridiculous.

I’m slightly less offended about them being relative to the shackles slaves wore, as I am about how silly the idea of them actually are. Who would actually wear these?

Well no-one will be buying them now that they have been removed from the market! – Due to complaints Scott has cancelled their release – and rightly so! – What do you think?

It’s officially advent, and I’m feeling generous! :-D

If you’ve been watching, you’ll already have noted my intense love for the beautiful brand that  Adolf Dassler created. Now, I have these limited edition Adidas Decade lo-tops (for women, size 5.5 UK and 7 US) that are brand spanking new and ready to be worn, and I decided that instead of keeping them for myself, I’d actually give them away – I know, that’s bonkers right?

This being a competition, of course there’s a few questions you need to answer first ;-) – and they wont be a Google job either, these questions are a little more personal to me which means you’ll have to have been watching closely (or be a really good guesser) to get the answers right!
